Who writes for Vegan Miam?
Vegan Miam was started on July 23, 2011. A first-generation Taiwanese vegan and an international-based fashion photographer and designer, known as Rika, travels around the world (from Asia to across the U.S.A. to Australia to Europe) and photographs everything she consumes. She researches and writes everything from vegan groceries to restaurants to products to home cooking. Rika has been a vegan since late 2006 and has been addicted to food photography.

Why Vegan Miam?
Rika also ran a photography blog and sixty percent of the blog posts focus primarily on foods. It was necessary to segregate it and focus primarily on vegan products and cuisine. Miam means “Yum” in French and was firstly introduced by her sweetheart when they were dating in their first year and after his arrival from France.

What did Rika use for photography?

Where is Rika?
You might need to check out her travel schedule. She is actually a part-time Oregonian (Oregon, USA).

Who is Rika’s mysterious partner or “sweetheart” in her food posts?
Her partner’s name is Doni and they were together for many years aka college sweethearts. He’s a vegetarian and loves different varieties of cheese, but he tends to go vegan because of Rika. Whenever they make something vegan, he would add cheese as an exception, while Rika don’t put cheese on it, which makes everything easy! Doni is also a photographer, and he loves to cook vegan dishes.

Few bizarre stuff about Rika
1) She is born in the centre of Taiwan, but raised in the East Coast.
2) She runs away from dairy products, including cheese (Käse in German).
3) All her family generations are carnivores, which makes her first-generation.
4) She was a vegetarian in high school. She never liked cheese in her whole life, except for feta cheese, which was low in lactose.
5) She makes the best Taiwanese fried rice (100% vegan).
6) Her sweetheart is a vegetarian, but a fantastic vegan-friendly cook.
7) She is not a Buddhist or religious.
