I got a Kräuteraufstrich spread at Merkurmarkt in Vienna, Austria, which was a tofu-based spread with herbs (in German: Bio-Tofu Aufstrich mit Kräutern). Known for its “V”-label, Vegavita carries only 100% plant-based products and I believe they are only found in Austria (correct me if I’m wrong). The Kräuteraufstrich flavour tasted delicious, a bit savoury in the end, on toasted bread or herbed crackers. I find the flavour the most favourite of all Vegavita spreads since some of them focused mostly on bland tomatoes and other vegetables. The spread lasted me a week after eating it for breakfast or snack.
Definitely try out Austria’s Vegavita Kräuteraufstrich. They usually cost between €1,50 to €2,50 depending on the grocery store in Austria (Merkurmarkt, Biomarkt Maran and vice versa). I got it for €1,59 at Merkurmarkt, I think. It’s been a week since I left Vienna.
