my verdict
I reviewed Traditional Masala Chai, Rooibos Masala Chai and Mint Masala Chai.

Traditional Masala Chai
This 3-oz tin makes 100 cups and it came with a 1/4 teaspoon bamboo scoop, the amount needed for one cup serving. It is included with every tin or pouch which is useful to have. I followed the instructions from the tin (and pouch): add 4-oz boiling fresh water, one rounded 1/4 teaspoon Blue Lotus Chai blend, stir, add 4-oz milk of your choice and heat. The instruction worked well for my taste: a hot chai is perfect for the cold days while a cold chai is perfect for the warm days. I always add agave syrup or vegan sweetener to make my chai sweeter since all the chai blends do not have sweeteners in it. If you prefer more spiciness, add 1/2 tsp at a time whilst stirring. It tends to be spicier if you add 1 tsp more. The tea powder felt very fine and you can smell the spices right away once opened. It tasted like a spicy and sweet chai. What a perfect instant chai to go! The powder appears slightly darker than the other two chai varieties as reviewed below.
Ingredients
Naturally brewed and flash-dried black tea powder, 100% Certified Organic spices: ginger, cardamom, nutmeg, black pepper, cinnamon, clove
On the left, Mint Masala Chai. On the right, Rooibos Masala Chai.
Mint Masala Chai
I received Mint Masala Chai 1/2-oz pouch, which makes 17 cups. The instructions are the same as mentioned above. The color of the tea powder was the lightest of all these three chai varieties. Once opened, you could smell the peppermint right away. The ingredients are pretty similar to the Traditional Masala Chai, except for the peppermint. The chai tasted refreshing and it is less than mildly spicy (not as peppery as the Traditional one).
Ingredients
Naturally brewed and flash-dried black tea powder, 100% Certified Organic spices: ginger, cardamom, nutmeg, black pepper, cinnamon, cloves and peppermint from extract
Rooibos Masala Chai
I received Rooibos Masala Chai 1/2-oz pouch, which makes 17 cups. The instructions are the same as mentioned above. The color of the tea powder was the darkest of all these three chai varieties. This one is 100% certified organic and caffeine-free, which has a similar taste to the Traditional Masala Chai, but with rooibos (naturally caffeine-free, wonder herb). This chai is great for those who cannot or wish to not drink a caffeinated chai.
Ingredients
Certified Organic hot water soluble rooibos powder; 100% Certified Organic spices: ginger, cardamom, nutmeg, black pepper, cinnamon, cloves

As pictured above, I had Mint Masala Chai with unsweetened almond milk and hot water and 1 teaspoon of agave syrup. It was a yummy instant chai to go!
