Over the summer Dena, Account Executive at Red Ape Cinnamon, reached out to us to provide some samples of Red Ape Cinnamon products. What makes Red Ape Cinnamon remarkable is the fact that their Indonesian cassia cinnamon products are GMO-free, organic, sustainably harvested and vegan. In addition to that, the company also donates 5% of all profits from sales to organizations that protect the critically endangered orangutans and their habitat. Among the organizations that Red Ape Cinnamon contributes to is the Orangutan Outreach.
Each year Red Ape Cinnamon participates in the Orangutan Outreach ‘Adopt an Ape’ program. You can vote for the ape that Red Ape Cinnamon will adopt this year here. We wish all the apes can be adopted – every ape deserves it!

Each jar comes with a little measuring bamboo spoon.
One item we did not receive yet was the recently released savory Rasta Shake™, an organic gourmet blend of Jamaican style spices. They are available in 2.6 oz shaker top and 3.7 oz wide mouth jar. The ingredients are garlic, onion, thyme, ginger, allspice, red chili pepper, black pepper, salt, potato starch, evaporated cane juice, coconut and of course yummy cinnamon.
We had a chance to taste the samples (very lush, just try sprinkling a bit of their Organic Vanilla Cinnamon and Sugar Shake on some toast and you’ll understand) and photograph the Red Ape Cinnamon products we received but we haven’t had the opportunity to craft any dishes featuring Red Ape Cinnamon just yet. When we return to the USA in November, with winter and the holidays fast approaching, we will be eager to put our Red Ape Cinnamon to use.
