Soyatoo! Whipped Toppings

All Soyatoo! whipped toppings are 100% vegan, lactose-free, dairy-free and gluten-free. They are made with coconut, organic soy or rice. They all have shelf life of one year and should be refrigerated. These have 40% less fat than dairy cream and makes delicious vegan desserts such as cakes, desserts and fruit, especially vegan chai, cappuccino and chocolate beverages.

Available in

few varieties. As of mid 2012, I have only seen four varieties: Extra Creamy Whip, Cocos Topping, Soy Whip, and Rice Whip at local markets and Whole Foods Markets. The soy and rice whip come in either spray can (about 200 g) or packaged box (10.14 fl oz).

Soyatoo! Rice Whip (blue)

The Rice Whip comes in an aerosol spray can and the 300 mL box. It tastes mildly sweet and works great on waffles and desserts with extra white foamy cream. I couldn’t taste the rice very well, but it wouldn’t make a difference as long as it’s sweet. It is made of organic rice beverage. The Rice Whip tastes lighter than any non-vegan whipped cream, and this does not have soy at all. If you want the extra foam, I would recommend using the aerosol spray. If you want the mousse-style, I would recommend using the 300 mL box, which you have to whip the cream with an electric mixer at maximum power for few minutes.

We made fresh blueberry waffles adapted from veganyumyum, replacing soy milk & yogurt to coconut milk & yogurt and topped with Soyatoo! rice whipped cream and vegan apple syrup.

Ingredients
Organic rice beverage (water, organic rice syrup, organic rice starch, and organic rice flour), coconut oil, organic maltodextrin from rice, tartaric acid, carrageenan and gum arabic, sea salt. (Propellant: nitrous oxide)

Soyatoo! Soy Whip (red)

I received the 300 mL box of soy whipped cream. The Rice Whip as reviewed above, appears lighter than the Soy Whip (tends to be slightly thicker but still light). The Soy Whip has a very slight vanilla flavor, and it’s slightly creamier. The Soy Whip works great as foam using the aerosol spray compared to the Rice Whip. The instructions from the box is simple and accurate with pictorials: shake well and open box with scissors, dispense contents into bowl, whip the cream with an electric mixer at maximum power for at least 3 minutes or until it meets your desired consistency.

Organic soymilk (water and soybeans), coconut oil, fractionated palm kernel oil, organic sugar-beet syrup, organic maltodextrin (corn or rice), tartaric acid, carrageenan, sea salt and natural vanilla extract

Soyatoo! Cocos Whip (brown)

I received the 300 mL box of Soyatoo! Cocos Whip, dairy-free and vegan coconut cream topping. The Cocos Whip version is quite similar to the Soy Whip, but with a slight coconut taste. It is not too sweet which I like as it works well with any sweet desserts. It works well with my parfait and other desserts. I prefer the boxes over the aerosol sprays so I can whip them up until it meets my desired consistency.
