Las Vegas: More Vegan Eats at the Wynn

You may have seen my earlier post on Society Café at the Wynn Las Vegas. I was only in Vegas for 2 nights in December 2012. There are plenty of other restaurants that offer vegan options at the Wynn. I thought I would like to share some of their menus here, just for reference. Please note, I did not cover all the restaurants with vegan options at the Wynn, but only a few that were closer to Society Café. I haven’t tried any of these yet, but I imagine these vegan-friendly dishes would be interesting to try in the future, plus you wouldn’t have to worry about finding a restaurant to dine with friends and families who aren’t vegans or vegetarians. Majority of the restaurants at the Wynn have vegan options and the menu items are subject to change over time. I noticed most restaurants use the vegan meat, Gardein™ in their vegan dishes.

This is one of Wynn’s casual dining Asian restaurants. It’s pretty cool to see vegan-friendly selections of sushi, starters and dim sum and specialty dishes and how their menu appears exclusive for vegetarians and vegans. I am tempted to try their vegan Gardein™ Chick’n Shu Mai and their vegan drunken noodles.

Allegro is another vegan-friendly casual dining restaurant at the Wynn. There are four visible vegan selections such as the vegetable caponata pizza, San Marzano tomato bisque, whole wheat pasta with Gardein™ bolognese, and Gardein™ Chick’n parmigiano.

I went to Red 8 in 2010, sadly with no many great food pictures or a paragraph to write about. I remembered that Doni and I were very hungry on our first day in Las Vegas after a delayed flight and I was desperate for some vegan Chinese food. In the past, we had to ask about vegan options and it was a bit difficult to inquire, but right now, Red 8 Wynn features a small vegan section their menu. I noticed that they have slightly new vegan-friendly menu items: the Gardein™ Cashew Chick’ n, Celery, Mushrooms and Ginger, the Vegetable Fried Brown Rice and the Gardein™ Chick’ n Lettuce Wraps. I had their Vegan Tofu Shiitake and it wasn’t that good.
