Vegan at Whole Food Las Vegas Boulevard
If you are renting a car in Las Vegas or in need of something yummy, start with Whole Foods Market Las Vegas Boulevard. It is located just two miles south of the Las Vegas Strip, at Town Square. I go there for snacks and beverages including foods to bring with me for the flights. Beverages and snacks can be pricey at hotels in Vegas, so save your money on those goodies at Whole Foods Market. Please note, I was in Vegas in December 2012, dishes may change daily.

Whole Foods Las Vegas Boulevard has a pretty decent buffet with some vegetarian and vegan options, including sandwiches and desserts. One of them was a $7.99 vegan blackened chicken salad sandwich. They also had a vegan tempeh reuben that day. The sandwich was a pretty tasty and filling sandwich. I finished half of it. Sorry for the messy presentation, there wasn’t a plate or utensils I would use from my hotel room.

ingredients for vegan blackened chicken salad sandwich
vegan bread, vegan blackened chicken salad (vegan chicken {water, soy protein isolate, wheat gluten, natural flavor, yeast extract, evaporated cane sugar, salt, pea protein, carrot fiber, titanium dioxide, vitamins and minerals}), carrots, red onion, green onion, cajun rub (sea salt, red pepper, black pepper, thyme, bay leaf, nutmeg, sage, paprika, natural smoke, garlic, parsley), vegannaise, garlic, stone ground mustard, honey dijon mustard, lettuce, tomato. contains soy and gluten

On one morning for breakfast, we had vegan scrambled Mediterranean tofu scramble, hash browns with grilled veggies, pickled beet and potato salad, accompanied by southwestern corn chowder soup. This meal package was paid by the weight. I paid about $12 for this ($7.99 per lb). It can be pricey to eat at Whole Food Markets’ buffet, but they offer plenty of vegan options.
