On a recent trip to the market, we spotted the new arrival of vegan pies by Sweet Earth Natural Foods, I was excited to try them out because we don’t often find packaged vegan pies at our local markets. Sweet Earth Natural Foods vegan pies are available in two sizes, 5″ and 8″, and five flavors: Pumpkin, Apple Streusel, Triple Berry, Blueberry Crisp, and Peach Cobbler. All pies are made with organic whole-wheat crusts. I contacted Sweet Earth Natural Foods to try one of their pies, and they kindly offered me a sample of their seasonal pumpkin pie to get a jump on Fall!
Oops and just a heads up… As photographed in this review, this vegan pumpkin pie won’t look like the one you will see at the markets. It was sent for review in the mail and the UPS messed up the delivery a bit so our pie wasn’t so pretty but it still tasted delicious. I think UPS felt like this should be an upside down cake and not a pie.

All vegan pies will keep refrigerated up to 14 days. My vegan pumpkin pie only lasted us four days (hehe). The larger, 8-inch pumpkin pie weighs 1 lb. 8 oz. and the smaller, 5-inch pumpkin pie weighs 8 oz. The pumpkin pie is vegan, made with unrefined sugar, including Vermont Maple syrup. It is difficult to say if the pumpkin filling should be completely set after the delivery issue, but the filling is sort of like a pumpkin & spices custard filling. But the flavors are delicious regardless of the messed-up filling. When I first opened the package, I could smell the aromatic blend of pumpkin and a bit of maple syrup after my first bite. I am addicted to their whole wheat crust. I would eat the pumpkin pie anytime during the day, not just breakfast or dessert. It is a very enjoyable pie to have around all season, not just the holidays. It’s ready to eat and packed with yummy holiday spices.
