Tsubi Soup is a premium Japanese producer of vegan freeze-dried miso soups made from simple, high-quality, natural ingredients all sourced from Japan and fully traceable to each farmer. Tsubi Soup ちゅび・スープ was launched in October 2015 in Tokyo, Japan and has recently expanded to the US and other foreign markets.
Tsubi Soup uses the highest quality non-GMO soy miso from Kyoto, famous for its ancient craft in miso making. Each variety of Tsubi Soup uses a special blend of miso, uniquely crafted to enhance the ingredients in each flavor.
As well as being a popular and traditional Japanese ingredient, miso is also an important superfood. Since it is a complete protein, it is packed with essential amino acids and B vitamins. It’s also full of antioxidants and probiotics, making it nutritious and beneficial for healthy digestion.
Tsubi Soups are made from real ingredients, with No MSG, refined sugars, artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. They are also Vegan, Cruelty-Free, Gluten-Free and non-GMO. All Tsubi Soups are freeze-dried into compact cubes using a method that retains 98% of their nutritional value and have a shelf life of 18 months. Tsubi Soups are proudly made in Japan. All products do contain soy.
All Tsubi Soup ingredients come from the southern tip of Japan and are free from the risk of radiation. This was no easy task, but it is part of our commitment to bringing you a safe, high quality and delightful Japanese product.
We at Tsubi Soup believe that every mouthful of food should nourish and benefit your body and senses, whilst minimizing the impact on our planet and the animals we share it with. This is why we’re committed to keeping Tsubi Soup 100% natural, vegan and delicious and nutritious as a homemade soup should be.

Tsubi Soups are instantly satisfying and practical vegan meals that you can enjoy just about anywhere. We traveled with our Tsubi Soups and the packaging and contents held up well throughout our long journeys. We positively love these miso soups for a quick and easy meal on the go, especially for air travel when we’re constantly craving something hot and savory. Simply add the dried Tsubi Soup cube to a thermos or mug and cover with hot water for an instantly warm and soothing vegan meal or snack. For travel, we always carry our trusted Zojirushi 12oz stainless steel mug. We were able to combine two Tsubi Soup cubes (with 160ml of water per cube) in this mug for a comforting meal that remained hot for hours.
The freeze-dried contents of the three distinctly different varieties rehydrate to have surprisingly fresh flavors and texture. Each Tsubi Soup has its own unique flavor profile and texture but our personal favorite is the robust and spicy Miso Soup with Mixed Mushrooms & Spice (brown pack).
Miso Soup with Mixed Mushrooms & Spice
• Brown Packaging
• 35 calories per serving
• Ingredients: miso, enoki mushrooms, nameko mushrooms, maitake mushrooms, green shallots, potato starch, kelp powder, yeast extract, ichimi spice, shiitake mushroom powder, salt, vitamin E (as an antioxidant, derived form soy leaf)
The strongest, most distinctive variety. This red miso has more robust flavors, a rich color and an almost unbelievable amount of chunky mushrooms. We were especially impressed with the layers of texture, flavor and spice packed into this little cube. The ichimi spice makes this one ideal for anyone who likes slightly spicier foods.
Miso Soup with Wholesome Vegetables
• Yellow Packaging
• 35 calories per serving
• Ingredients: miso, spinach, cabbage, green shallots, carrot, potato starch, kelp powder, yeast extract, shiitake mushroom powder, salt, vitamin E (as an antioxidant, derived form soy leaf)
The lightest and most neutral of the three varieties. This awase miso (a mix of white and red miso) is packed with vegetables and has a fresh, mild flavor. It has a light, slightly milky color and is most comparable to the Miso Soup with Aosa Seaweed, Tofu & Abura-age.
Miso Soup with Aosa Seaweed, Tofu & Abura-age
• Green Packaging
• 40 calories per serving
• Ingredients: miso, green shallots, fried tofu, potato starch, dried tofu, aosa (sea lettuce), kelp powder, yeast extract, shiitake mushroom powder, salt, vitamin E (as an antioxidant, derived form soy leaf)
The white miso base gives this soup a salty and sweet component, balanced by the sea notes of the aosa seaweed (sea lettuce). The spongelike fried tofu, known as abura-age, absorbs the salty and sweet flavors of the miso and enhances the overall texture of this soup when also paired with the soft dried tofu.
