In between all of our recent trips, I found a bit of time to test out Fran Costigan’s latest cookbook Vegan Chocolate: Unapologetically Luscious and Decadent Dairy-Free Desserts, kindly provided to us by her publishers at Running Press. Now, I’m not much of a chocolate person and I’m not much of a baker – I don’t eat chocolate daily, in fact I probably don’t even eat chocolate weekly and I bake even less often than I eat chocolate but with 120 recipes packed into this full color hard-cover cookbook there is something for everyone. What I love most about this cookbook is that on the surface these are professional dishes that can look intimidating with sumptuous photos by photographer Kate Lewis throughout, but once you start to read the recipes you discover that Fran Costigan has the most detail-oriented and descriptive instructions so that even a novice baker such as myself can master these desserts!
Vegan Chocolate: Unapologetically Luscious and Decadent Dairy-Free Desserts by the “queen of vegan desserts”, offers recipes for chocolate cakes, brownies, truffles, puddings, ice creams, and more that will appeal to every chocoholic — vegan or otherwise. And while committed vegans already know it can be difficult to find truly indulgent desserts that accommodate their diets, this breakthrough book will delight them and unite everyone and anyone who madly, deeply and truly loves chocolate.
